Ajay Singh aka Tiger Pop won the title of India’s Best Dancer. The dance reality show concluded with the announcement of its winner today (November 22). Along with the trophy, Tiger Pop also won Rs 15 lakh prize money and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza car.
Tiger’s choreographer Vartika Jha also received a cheque of Rs 5 lakh. The other four finalists competing for the title were Mukul Gain, Subhranil Paul, Shweta Warrier and Paramdeep. Mukul Gain and Shweta Warrier secured second and third spots respectively. The grand finale was no less than a huge celebration with non-stop entertainment, dance and fun banter.
Tiger Pop hails from Gurugram and would like to dedicate the trophy to his mother. Tiger, who excels in Popping, performed animation popping for the audition round on Bekhayali and got a standing ovation from judge Terence Lewis. He came to India’s Best Dancer to fulfil his mother’s dream who has been struggling for a long time.
Tiger Pop was elated to win India’s Best Dancer. “I am beyond happy to have won the coveted title of India’s Best Dancer. I cannot believe that my childhood dream of being on a platform like India’s Best Dancer and winning it, has come true today. The whole journey of being on India’s Best Dancer, right from my very first audition, to my first battle, to being paired with a choreographer like Vartika Jha, to performing & learning something new week on week has been surreal. Standing here on this stage made me realize that adulation cannot be taken for granted. You have to work hard to earn in. I am thankful to all the judges for keeping us grounded and being an inspiration to all of us. I am grateful and overwhelmed for all the love that I have received from all over the world,” said Tiger Pop in a statement.
Raghav Juyal and Dharmesh Yelande graced the sets of India’s Best Dancer for the grand finale episode. Raghav danced with Malaika Arora on the popular song Ankho Me Teri while Dharmesh shook a leg with finalist Subhranil Paul. The cast of A Simple Murder, SonyLiv’s new web series and comedian Krushna Abhishek also appeared on the show as special guests.

Talking about India’s Best Dancer grand finale, Terence Lewis said, “D day is around the corner when India will choose best from the best. I am really looking forward to the grand finale. As the day is getting closer, the top five contestants have doubled their practice routine to make sure every move and step makes an impact. It is going to be tough to decide who should win the title of India’s Best Dancer because all 5 contestants are strong, they know the art of brilliantly executing an act or a concept through their dance.
India’s Best Dancer will be replaced by popular singing reality show Indian Idol 12. The show will be hosted by Aditya Narayan and Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya are the judges.
