Ludhiana store renames zucchini as jugni. Internet cannot stop laughing at viral tweet


Twitter is a goldmine of content and, now and then, some piece of information manages to leave the netizens in splits. One such tweet was shared by a man who found a unique name assigned to zucchini at a Ludhiana store. His caption, however, takes the cake.

WHAT IS THE VIRAL TWEET ABOUT?

A Twitter user @DrAmankashyap shared a picture of a vegetable shelf at a supermarket recently. He found out that zucchini placed on the shelf, had been renamed to ‘jugni’ at a Ludhiana vegetable store.

He took to the micro-blogging site to share this hilarious piece of information. “When zucchini Comes to Punjab. The Punjabi dialect didn’t even spare poor zucchini once it’s been to Ludhiana (sic),” he wrote while sharing the picture. The amusing part was that the sticker on the vegetable also spelt the name wrong.

As soon as the picture was shared, caught the Twitterati’s attention. The hilarious renaming of the vegetable left people in splits. While some thought that jugni was way cooler than the original name, others commended the creativity of the person who came up with the Punjabi version. Few users said that the change of the name might urge them to eat the vegetable.
