Disha Patani nailing the 80 kg barbell squats is your Monday Motivation


It is no secret that Disha Patani’s passion for fitness knows no bound. She regularly posts her workout routines on Instagram and shares a glimpse of her fit body every now and then. One of her favourite workout routine is the barbell squat and each time, she aces a new milestone by lifting heavier weights. Disha Patani recently posted another video of herself inspiring her fans with her squats routine.

WHAT DID DISHA PATANI POST?

Disha Patani uploaded an Instagram story from her gym where she is seen acing the barbell squat. In the video, she is seen squatting 80 kg of weight while her personal trainer spots her from behind. The actress is seen in a pair of baggy red shorts, a black top and a pair of white training shoes. She is seen nailing the workout routine effortlessly.

WHAT IS A BARBELL SQUAT?

In barbell squat, a person has to balance a barbell on their shoulder and hold it on both sides. A certain weight would be attached on either end. Then the person has to stand up with their feet apart. The next step is to squat until the hips crease below the knee. Make sure to keep your spine in alignment. If you are doing this routine for the first time, it is best to try it under the supervision of a fitness trainer.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BARBELL SQUATS?

While it’s a great leg builder, barbell squats help in strengthening posterior chain muscles. It also helps in increasing your ability to jump, pull, push and improves any movement involving the lower body. Apart from that, it also strengthens the joints, ligaments and tendons around the knee and hips. You can also lose weight by doing this exercise as it helps burn calories.

If you are feeling lazy to hit the gym and need some motivation, check out this video of Disha Patani in her workout mode. In this video, she has aced the barbell squat routine with 75 kg. She captioned it, “Throwback to the times when I was strong. 75 kg 1 rep, 2nd set is 80 kg 1 rep full range squat (sic).”

On the work front, Disha Patani finished shooting for Salman Khan’s Radhe recently. She was last seen in Malang which released earlier this year. She made her debut in Bollywood with MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, and subsequently starred in the films Kung Fu Yoga, Baaghi 2, Bharat.
